WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE WORK?
The Terramia Estate team is small.
We personally take care of the Nests. We never thought we would be a hotel, so please don't expect 24/7 reception and services, but we do our best to give you the most relaxing and joyful experience. We are here for you every day between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. if you would like daily cleaning please let us know, we would never enter your nest without an invite but are always happy to assist in any way we can.
Please note that the nearest ATM is about a 90-minute drive away. Come prepared!

FIRST TIME IN THE MOUNTAINS?
Terramia Estate is part of nature, our cleanliness standards are the highest, we give our best efforts to keep the nests perfect but that does not prevent occasionally insects, spiders, mosquitoes, frogs or snakes from visiting the nests.
Please consider this before you book and do not book if you are not prepared for an encounter with one of them. We are immersed in nature. Animals are friends, not enemies.
If you are not comfortable with that, it is better to book a different type of accommodation than a geodesic dome in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
Our environmental humidity is 95%, so all the nests have dehumidifying equipment that you can turn off at night if its sound is not pleasant, but remember that it will be important that it is turned on during the day.
The internet is only at one point of the property, it is very deficient, it is satellite sometimes it does not work at all, it will not have a mobile signal from any operator, be prepared for total disconnection.
FEEDING
Each nest has a kitchen with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, cutting board, you will find a fridge to store your ingredients, salt, pepper and oil. Each nest has a gas cover and a gas barbecue outside so you can enjoy your best preparations.
If you don't feel like cooking, don't worry, we have a delicious menu, we offer finished breakfast and dinner on offer of the day, all our recipes are a fusion of flavors with local ingredients and we try to adjust them to your preferences if you have any at the time of feeding yourself. . We don't have a restaurant yet, but you can enjoy meals in your nest, someone will bring them there.
Our lunch offer is designed for our visitors to have fun and share activities that are not enjoyed on a daily basis, we will send them to your nest, packed for the grill (Protein, Garnish and salad) You will enjoy the company, the terrace and the view

LOCATION
Take a good look at the map, we are 90 minutes from Santa Marta and 40 minutes from Minca, there is no nightlife here,
There are no bars, clubs, cafes or big shops. We are far from the city by choice, in the middle of the forest up here on the highest coastal mountain in the world, with a calm environment.
Terramia Estate has no restaurants nearby, it will take 600m - 15 minutes to get to the nearest small store, you will only find basic products there. remember that you can bring as many supplies as you like with no restrictions.
There are so many things to explore. Just to mention... you can go on an excursion to Cerro Kennedy, if you are lucky and there is a clear sky you can see 360°, the snow-capped peaks, the Tayrona park, have some cookies and a coffee to make a stop and enjoy the silence of the mountains, bird watching, walks in coffee plantations, visits to waterfalls and much more
HOW CAN WE HELP WITH YOUR TRANSPORT AND ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE?
Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. and until 7:00 p.m., avoid check-in later than 7:00 p.m. as it is very troublesome and in some cases it is not possible. check out is at 12 noon.
If you wish to receive transportation services, we will be happy to share the contacts of our recommended driver once you have a confirmed reservation. Our recommended drivers can pick you up anywhere in Santa Marta, (Palomino, Parque Tayrona, Barranquilla or Cartagena) the drivers can also help you with a stop at the supermarket or ATM before reaching us. If you know you will have a late flight and therefore a late night arrival, we recommend that you use our verified drivers who offer a fair price and a safe arrival and check-in at Terramia Estate.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have connection with excellent drivers within Santa Marta. They are experienced and of course well informed about the best tourist spots in the area. We are prepared to help you with your pick-up or drop-off from anywhere in Santa Marta. All transportation services have an additional charge, the final price depends on the location. Please check rates before your arrival.
You can get up to 600m before our paradise in any vehicle, there you can park safely on the side of the road in a neighboring property that will charge you $5000 COP per night, we have 600m that we will need a 4×4, we provide the transfer service at no additional cost at 3:00 pm every day, you must inform us before your visit if you need this service to schedule it in our itinerary. If you arrive at a different time than our transfer service, it will be necessary to pay for 4×4 transportation in the area, which has an approximate price of $40,000 each way.
The selection of meals on our menu is a fusion of cuisine with local ingredients. Let us know if you prefer your dish spicy or mild, we will gladly adapt to your preference. We also serve vegetarian and vegan options. We use local organic products and the dishes with the catch of the day will always be fresh.
Each nest has a private Jacuzzi that will be filled with hot water, in the same way the shower, the sink and the dishwasher have hot water.
In the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta at 1600 msnm where we are, we have rain for 8 months of the year (April to November) it will be very likely that every day between 12 and 4 in the afternoon, you will see rain. On these dates in the morning you can visit abundant waterfalls and surely by sunset it will clear up and it will be unforgettable. In the months of December to March summer will arrive, the temperature will rise and with that the mosquitoes will arrive, it is important to include repellent to enjoy your stay to the fullest, in these months the water level of the waterfalls will drop but there will be plenty of water to enjoy of a delicious bath.
We are in a very safe place, we have not had events that could lead our guests to worry. The nests have a lock and key from inside the room in case you want to feel more secure at night.
We are in the middle of the jungle. be prepared because there is a lot of wildlife and most of them are harmless. There are spiders, insects, frogs so we recommend turning on the lights when you move around at night. At sunrise and sunset you can hear a roar. don’t worry! they’re just howler monkeys
After a strong storm we could lose the electricity supply, for these events we guarantee the supply in the nests until 9:30 pm. Meanwhile, if it is not yet time to go to bed, do not miss the opportunity to see the starry sky or light a candle and enjoy the moment.
The internal trails in Terramia Estate were made in stone by indigenous people of the Wiwa people, walking them takes you back in time and leaves you in contact with the tradition of an ancient culture, bringing comfortable shoes and clothes will undoubtedly allow you to enjoy this tour even more
